Hydrology/Streamflow
Streamflows in the Snoqualmie River and its tributaries are typical of streams in western Washington. Flow levels peak in the winter as a response to rainfall, and typically peak again in the early summer as a response to snowmelt in the upper elevation areas. Streamflows are at their lowest levels during the late summer and early fall.
Streamflow in the upper Snoqualmie River is gauged at a number of locations, and a good historical record is available for Snoqualmie Falls dating to the late 1800's. :
