Snoqualmie Aquifer Water Supply Project
The Snoqualmie Aquifer project was investigated in 1991 as a potential regional water supply for Puget Sound, partially as a result of the 1990 drought and the resulting moratoriums on water use in the central Puget Sound region. Previous geologic theories provided a basis for concluding a large groundwater supply was possibly available from the upper Snoqualmie Basin.
No permits for this project have been issued to date. Information developed from the Snoqualmie River Flow Enhancement project may be used to move this project ahead in the future.
